I have been making ringtones the long hard way for years and I must say this app makes it so easy. I downloaded Free Ringtone Maker and in only an hour I had a dozen ringtones added to my collection. The fact that the app adds each newly created ringtone right into your iTunes Tones folder is why I gave it a 5 out of 5. As of right now there is nothing but great things to say about Free Ringtone Maker!!!
Worked perfectly. Easy, Inuitive and excellent without any hassle.
What could be simpler? Find an awesome part in a favorite tune, dial it in with the slider, click the button, sync your phone. A killer app. Makes me not want to anwer my phone quickly just to hear more of the ringtone - ha!
I highly recommend this app!!Love it!!! =)
Thats Right, it is very simple to use. Ive been trying on a program I purchased and finally gave up. I installed this app and had my new 40 second ringtone made within a few minutes. Since this app links with iTunes automatically, this rest is so simple, even a dummy can use it, like me... First of all, drag and drop the song to your desktop. Then open the app and drag and drop it on the first page. Select up to 40 seconds (love that) that you want, fade out the end and save. This saves it in your iTunes automatically so all thats left is to sync your phone. Go to your phone Settings and find it under Sounds. How simple is that???!!
6 month old top of the line macbook pro here, so don’t blame it on hardware. This is just plain ol’ poorly written software. Do not install. This thing is buggy, slow, and simply doesn’t work — at all. How could Apple let this get through their software process?!? I work for a dev company and we’ve had stuff rejected for ridiculous stuff (e.g. the wording in our description) — how does Apple approve software THAT DOES NOT WORK for its app store???? I don’t get it.
Doesnt work. Just gives me this message and closes: The main interface can not activate! iTunes has not yet accessed in your computer, please activate iTunes first to relaunch the program
It works by automatically sending the files you drag to iTunes in the ringtone folder. Only problem is, it doesnt tell you thats what it did.
With the highest spec macbook pro, with 16 GB ram and the fastest availible processor, trying to process a 30 second MP3 it will spin the little dial for 12 minutes…. What’s it doing?! why? how?? what’s happening?? NO THANKS. Piece of crAPP. UNINSTALL! even for free, NOPE!
Very Poor App Need to be upgraded
The app takes really a long time to make a ringtone because it cannot open the music from itune, and keeps freezing all the time. Please fix its incompatibility with the new system.
It´s free, easy to use and convert the songs fast.
Pretty much unusable - the beach ball pops up when you click on anything or move at all.
Once you get the app you’ll think, “Wow! I’m gonna create some really good ringtones!” Not really. You have to buy your own songs and/or movies, and they don’t have songs/ movies that you can use. I’m recommending not to get this app.
There is one .WAV file that I want as a ringtone, but despite all efforts, this app will only take the first 2 seconds of a 3 second file.
THIS APP IS AWESOME. And so much easier than any iphone app I’ve seen so far. Making a ringtone is so easy it can be done in seconds and it’s automatcally saved in itunes. I definitely recommend!
“The main interface can not activate” It says that I didn’t access iTunes which I use everyday.
Never could get it to work and it hasn’t worked at all once I upgraded to Yosemite.
I was having problems with creating my own ring tones with the procedures given by the Apple Community and everyone else was having issues as well. The songs werent loading into the TONES category, Well this developer did it right. Works great on a MacBook Pro running 10.10.2 Yosemite. The only issue I have is a spinning cursor for 10 seconds or in-between button selections while the program is working on the sound file. But the app is Fast, easy, and consistent. Directions on how to use given by other reviews are dead on. Can’t complain about the price either!
